U.S. Senior State Department official Karen Hughes will visit Morocco this month as part of the Youth Enrichment Programs (YEP), the State Department said Tuesday. Hughes, the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs will be in Morocco between August 14-17. She will be in Rabat with a program that targets marginalized youth, the department said in a statement. Thomas Riley, U.S. ambassador to Morocco, will accompany Hughes on her visit. While there, Hughes will meet with the Moroccan Minister of Youth Mohammed El-Gahs as well as young non-governmental organization leaders and the program's participants. They will also visit the YEP program in Al-Jadida.
