At least fifteen militants were killed in the tribal area of Waziristan in an exchange of fire with security forces Tuesday, Pakistan army spokesman Maj-Gen Waheed Arshad said. Two members of the security forces sustained injuries, who were shifted to the Miranshah hospital. Arshad said that two wounded miscreants were arrested. He said it was yet to be determined whether the killed militants were local tribesmen or foreigners. The spokesman said there were reports that forty to fifty militants present in the area opened fire on the security forces. He said some fled after over a dozen of their comrades were killed.
