President of Turkey Necdet Sezer has telephoned President General Pervez Musharraf to express support and solidarity with Pakistan in its ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and extremism, and for the country s role in promoting peace and security. The Turkish President expressed condolences and sympathy over the loss of innocent lives in the recent suicide bombings in Pakistan, a Pakistan foreign office statement said. The two leaders discussed bilateral, regional and international issues. They expressed satisfaction at the close cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey and affirmed the resolve to continue their efforts to further consolidate bilateral relations in all areas.
