Malaysia's "Universiti- Malaya" has decided to promote cooperation with 11 universities in Indonesia to facilitate exchange of students, lecturers, educational information, seminars, training and publications in various fields. This was contained in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed Saturday between the Universiti- Malaya and the 11 Indonesian universities, ANTARA news agency reported. The signing of the MOU was witnessed by Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla and the Malaysian Minister for Higher Education Dato Mustafa Mohamed. On his part, Dato Mustafa Mohamed said that the cooperation between Malaysia and Indonesia was aimed at increasing both nations' ties in the fields of education and science. "For this purpose, cooperation among universities from Indonesia and Malaysia is needed, particularly in the exchange of students and lecturers," the minister said.
