Euro hits new high vs. U.S. dollar, gold up in European

The euro hit another record high against the
U.S. dollar in European trading Thursday morning. Gold
rose, REPORTED AP.
The euro traded at US$1.3782, up from US$1.3761 late
Wednesday. It moved as high as US$1.3794 earlier in the
day.

_1.2022 Swiss francs, down from 1.2038
_1.0525 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0554
The British pound traded at US$2.0330, down from
US$2.0334.
Gold traded in London at US$663.00 per troy ounce, up from
US$660.48 late Wednesday.
In Zurich, gold traded at US$661.80 per troy ounce, up
from US$660.45.
Gold fell 30 cents in Hong Kong to US$664.15.
Silver opened in London at US$12.89 per troy ounce, up
from US$12.81.
