The construction and building sector of Riyadh region has registered a rate of growth of 7.1%, sharing 4.7% of the Gross Domestic Product (on current prices). A report prepared by the Research and Studies Center of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which took into account development and progress of various sectors in the Riyadh region said although the number of contractors in Riyadh declined by 1.4 per cent from 212 in the previous year to 209 last year, but the share of the Riyadh region was 49.5% of the total number of contractor classification in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia registered last year, which represents a high percentage. --MORE
