Four of 76 Indonesians arrested in the United States on June 19 on charges of violating immigration rules will soon stand trial to determine their immigration status and deportation process, a spokesperson of the Indonesian consulate general in New York said on Friday. Trie Edi Mulyani said here on Friday the four Indonesians were among the 13 women who had been taken to Hudson County Jail in New Jersey, while the rest would follow, according to ANTARA. "Four of them have been summoned to appear in a New Jersey immigration court hearing," she said, adding that the number would be even larger because earlier on Thursday, the Indonesian consulate general in Houston said that part of 33 Indonesians in Albuquerque Jail in New Mexico would also attend a court hearing in El Paso, Texas, in the next three weeks. The 76 Indonesians who were arrested in a recent raid conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers are in jails in several states. She said there are 22 in Pennsylvania (including 13 in Hudson County Jail), 36 in Albuquerque, and 18 in Gadsden Jail in Alabama state. Earlier, all the 76 Indonesians were put in four jails in Pennsylvania, 19 in Lackawanna County Jail, 12 in Pike County Jail, 13 in Hudson Jail, and 32 in York County Jail.
