Faisal, Emir of Makkah region, is scheduled to address here on Friday the conference that will be attended by more than 500 international Islamic scholars and thinkers who are specialized in studying the problems and crises of the Ummah. The meet, organized by the Muslim World League (MWL) under the patronage of King Abdullah, will address the problems and challenges facing the Muslim world. Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Turki, Secretary General of MWL, announced the plan of Muslim delegations to visit Muslim countries to meet with prominent Islamic figures and exchange views on how issues can be tackled based on sound Islamic perceptions. He said the participants in the gathering will focus on the reality of the Ummah and its common problems like sectarian differences; rifts and the exploitation of these rifts by the enemies of Muslims; and socio-economic conditions and their effects in the Muslim society. The meeting will also focus on Islamic reformative patterns, rights and obligations, including the rights and obligations of the leader, and integrating the efforts of religious, educational and cultural institutions, he added. The issues will be discussed in seven sessions and will be presided over by Dr. Hassan Hamad Hassan, Legal Supervisor of Dubai Islamic Bank; Saleh Bin Abdullah Al-Humaid, Chairman of Saudi Arabia's Supreme Judiciary Council; Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Hussien, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem; Dr. Muhammad Othman Salih, Chairman of the Board of Senior Scholars in Sudan; and Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Hualail, Chief Judge of Jordan. __
