HIGHLIGHTING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE ARAB PEACE INITIATIVE, YEMENI FOREIGN MINISTER DR ABDU BAKR AL-KURBI SAID THE SETTLEMENT OF THE ARAB-ISRAELI DISPUTE WOULD ONLY COME THROUGH THE ARAB PEACE INITIATIVE.
NORMALIZATION OF THE ARAB-ISRAELI RELATIONS SHOULD BE PRECEDED BY THE ISRAELI RECOGNITION OF THE RIGHT OF THE PALESTINIANS TO ESTABLISH THEIR STATE AS WELL AS THE ISRAELI WITHDRAWAL FORM THE OCCUPIED ARAB TERRITORIES IN SHAB'A FARMS AND GOLAN HEIGHTS, DR AL-KURBI SAID IN
STATEMENTS PUBLISHED TODAY IN SANAA-BASED AL-WUHDA NEWSPAPER TODAY.
ON THE REBELLION IN NORTH YEMEN, AL-KURBI SAID YEMEN HAS DEMANDED IRAN TO CLARIFY ITS STANCE VIS-A-VIS THE REBELLION IN SA'DA.
'IT IS HIGH TIME FOR IRAN TO ANNOUNCE ITS CONDEMNATION TO THE REBELLION, HE SAID NOTING THAT SOME OFFICIAL IRANIAN MEDIA INSTITUTIONS HAVE BEEN VOICING SUPPORT TO THE REBELLION IN ADDITION TO THE POPULAR SUPPORT WHICH CAME TO THE REBELS FROM IRAN AND SOME OTHER PLACES.
