A bomb went off in a crowded market in the main city of India's restive northeast Saturday, killing seven people and injuring 20, at least eight of them critically, police said. The explosives were packed in a three-wheeled auto-rickshaw, said Gauhati's police chief S.N. Singh. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, the Associated Press reported.
