A passenger plane slipped off the runway at
Eelde Airport near Groningen Friday evening, but police reported no
injuries, according to dpa.
The incident happened during the landing just before 1900 GMT near
Groningen, a city in the north-east of Holland near the border with
Germany.
The plane, a Fokker-50, belonged to the Flemish airline VLM. A
Fokker-50 can can carry up to 51 people, but it is unclear how many
people were on board during the incident.
The plane came from London and had a stopover in Eelde. Eelde
Airport is a relatively small airport, often used by charter and
budget airlines.
