An IranAir passenger plane carrying 105 people crashed Sunday in the country's northwest, Iranian media reported, according to AP. State television reported the crash but did not give details. The semiofficial Fars news agency said 105 passengers and crew were on board. The aircraft is a Dutch-made Fokker-100, Fars reported. In August, one of the airline's Fokker-100s skidded off a runway while landing in the northern Iranian city of Tabriz, lightly injuring two passengers. Iran has a history of frequent air accidents blamed on its aging aircraft and poor maintenance.
