A man in southern California decapitated his mother using an electric circular saw and then killed himself by trying to cut off his own head with the power tool, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday, according to dpa. Arthur Ruiz, 32, launched the attack on his mother as she lay in bed early Monday morning. Police found him dead from severe neck injuries on another bed in the same room. There was no indication of what prompted the grizzly murder, though Ruiz had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, the paper reported.
