The Ninth Meeting of the Saudi-Japan joint Committee started its works today at Riyadh Conference Palace, here, under the co-chairmanship of Dr. Khalid Al-Qusaibi, The Minister of Economy and Planning and Akira Amari, Japan's Minister of Economy Trade and Industry. In an address at the Committee's meeting, Dr Al-Qusaibi highlighted the stages of Saudi-Japanese economic cooperation, pointing out to the advanced technological boom which led to the creation of cooperation opportunities between the two countries such as training courses and visits of Japanese technology experts to assist in technical affairs. The bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Japan is so massive that it can not be measured by figures. Japan is Saudi Arabia's second largest trading partner, Al-Qusaibi added. On his part, Akira Amari lauded the varied spheres of cooperation that link the governments and citizens of the two countries, pointing to the Joint Committee's efforts to review current economic cooperation and introduce new business opportunities.
