The Emperor of Japan Akihito decorated here today the Minister of Economy and Planning Khalid bin Mohammed Al Qusaibi with one of the highest national decorations of Japan, the "Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun". This came when the Emperor of Japan received the Saudi Minister at the Imperial Palace in the Japanese capital in recognition of his contributions to strengthen the economic ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan, where Al Qusaibi played a major role in this area during his chairmanship of the meetings of the joint Japanese-Saudi Committee, resulting in significant achievements represented by signing of several major economic agreements between the two countries. For his part, the Minister of Economy and Planning who is currently on a visit to Japan to head the Saudi side in the meetings of the joint Japanese-Saudi Committee, expressed thanks to the Emperor of Japan and the Government of Japan for this honor, stressing the keenness of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, on promoting and developing the cooperation with Japan to include various economic and investment fields.
