An improvised explosive device detonated on Saturday at the international airport in Pakistan's north-western city of Peshawar but did not cause any casualties or extensive damage, officials said. "The bomb with a small charge went off outside the cafeteria at the airport just shattering a few windowpanes and cola bottles," Peshawar Police Chief Abdul Majeed Marwat told the Deutsche Presse, according to dpa. No one was injured in the blast caused by explosives hidden in a crate, Marwat said. A man was killed and two others were injured on December 26 when a bomb exploded in a car parked outside the Peshawar airport. -- SPA
