A blast ripped through a busy market in Pakistan's north-western province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, killing at least 10 people and injuring 15 more, dpa quoted police as saying. The explosion hit a shopping mall where people were shopping ahead of Eid Al-Fitr and a nearby restaurant packed with people in Nowshera, a district located some 28 kilometres south-east of Peshawar, the provincial capital. Mohammad Hussain, the police chief in Nowshera, said the bomb was exploded by a remote-controlled device that was planted in a children tricycle. The bombing destroyed a number of vehicles and motorbikes and damaged nearby buildings. No one claimed responsibility for the blast.
