Members of the Federation of the Shoura (Consultative) Councils of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) held today a consultative meeting on the fringes of the 116th conference of the International Parliamentary Union (IPU), currently in progress in the Indonesian Bali island. Dr Mohammed Al-Hilwa, the head of the Saudi Shoura Council's delegation and member of IPU, said the participants of the meeting have supported the request of the Palestinian legislative council to join the International Parliamentary Union as a permanent member.
