Deliberations of the annual meeting of The Arab League Educational Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALESCO) started today in Amman. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the rest of the member countries of the Organization are attending the meeting. In an address at the opening ceremony of the meeting, Jordanian Minister of Education Khaled Toukan said the meeting will discuss a study on ALESCO's convention on reforms and a mechanism about the organization's works according to the recent Arab League summit's decisions and recommendations. "The Two-day meeting will review the latest developments as regards education, higher education and scientific research in Arab states," he added. -- SPA
