secretary for Legal Affairs and United Nations' Legal counsel also held talks with top Lebanese officials to resolve the problem of initiating an international tribunal. Earlier today, he met with Lebanese President Emil Lahud and the leader of executive committee of right wing Lebanese Forces Samir Geagea in the presence of UN special envoy to Lebanon Geir O. Pederson. In a press statement, Michel said that there is a confusion about approving the Tribunal under the 7th chapter, pointing out that if the tribunal is approved according to that chapter, it means that it will not resort to military action. He wished all Lebanese parties and judiciary system would commit to what is ruled out by the International community as regards the tribunal.
