Turkish cargo ship runs aground near Greek island of Hios

A Turkish cargo ship ran aground on the eastern
Aegean island of Hios on Thursday - but all 23 crew members were
reoported safe.
The ship, "Tahi Kiran", was sailing from the Egyptian port of
Alexandria towards Istanbul when it got stuck in rough seas, south-
east of Hios, according to dpa.
Local media reports said the captain declined help from the Greek
coast guard.
