Greek bomb squads destroyed two home-made explosive devices on the southern Mediterranean island of Crete on Thursday after an anonymous tip-off, local media reports said. They said bomb squads rushed to the scene of the Workers Centre in the city of Irakleion where the bombs were placed. They destroyed them 15 minutes before they were set to go off, according to dpa Officials said there were no injuries and only minor damage to the building following the controlled explosions using a robot.
