Minister of Agriculture Dr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Balghunaim, who is also Chairman of Irrigation and Drainage Commission, said that a royal approval has increased quantities of dates by 4,000 tons purchased from farmers and delivered to dates packaging factory affiliated to the Irrigation and Drainage Commission in Ahsa, bringing to 25,000 tons the total quantity purchased from dates farmers. He also said that this approval is an extension of the care taken by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan for agriculture and farmers in the Kingdom. "The dates increases will be distributed to needy people in the Kingdom and some countries," Balghunaim added.
