MOHAMMED ALI HUSSEINI, THE SPOKESMAN FOR THE IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY SAID THE BRITISH REPLY FOR THE IRANIAN PROTEST MEMORANDUM ON THE ISSUE OF THE BRITISH SAILORS CONTAINS POINTS THAT COULD BE STUDIED.
HE NOTED THAT THE IRAN HAD PRESENTED A STRONGLY WORDED MEMORANDUM FOLLOWING THE ENTRY OF THE BRITISH SAILORS INTO THE IRANIAN TERRITORIAL WATERS.
HE ADDED THAT THE BRITISH AMBASSADOR TO IRAN, WHEN HE WAS SUMMONED TO THE IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY, PRESENTED A REPLY CONTAINING VARIOUS POINTS WHICH COULD BE STUDIED.
WE ARE AWAITING FOR CORRECTION OF THE PRACTICE AND TAKING REASONABLE TRENDS FROM THE SIDE OF THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE IRANIAN LEGITIMATE AND LOGICAL DEMANDS, HE ADDED.
