Britain wants the dispute over Iran's capture of British sailors and marines to be resolved «swiftly and peacefully,» the foreign secretary said Tuesday. «We will continue to leave the door open for a constructive outcome of these difficulties between Iran and the United Kingdom,» Margaret Beckett said during a visit to Turkey. «But I think it is clear that is in everyone's interest for this matter speedily and peacefully to be resolved.» Iran said Tuesday that the 15 British sailors and marines it detained last week were in good health, have been treated in a humane manner and that the only female sailor among them had been given privacy. Beckett said Iran had previously delivered the same message about the good health of the British military personnel in private to the British government, the Associated Press reported.
