SECRETARY GENERAL OF GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL ABDULRAHMAN BIN HAMAD ALATEYAH WELCOMED IRAN'S DECISION TO RELEASE THE DETAINED BRITISH SAILORS AND MARINES.
IN A STATEMENT TODAY, HE SAID, "DIALOGUE AND PEACEFUL SOLUTIONS OF ANY PROBLEM IN THE REGION ARE THE SOUND CHOICE FOR CONTRIBUTING TO ENHANCED SECURITY AND STABILITY IN THE REGION."
HE CALLED FOR CONTINUING ADOPTION OF THE APPROACH OF PEACEFUL NEGOTIATIONS TO PUT AN END TO IRAN'S NUCLEAR FILE.
HE HOPED THAT DURING THE COMING DAYS, IRAN AND THE CONCERNED PARTIES WOULD CONDUCT AN INTENSIVE DIALOGUE TO SETTLE THIS FILE.
