As a follow-up to what was announced on 27/9/1426 H. regarding the martyrdom of Corporal Mohamed Misfer Al-Zahrani after he was shot dead by an unknown person in Makkah while he was on duty in the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan, the Interior Ministry spokesman said that this sinful crime has been under constant security follow-up that resulted in obtaining material evidence which contributed to unveiling the criminal's style who committed the crime, fled the scene, left the region and hid his weapon in a mountainous area in Baha Region. "Thanks to Allah, investigations revealed that the one who committed this crime is the one who was previously arrested for opening fire in Jeddah Province as previously announced on 14/4/1427 H. According to the criminal lab report, these findings were confirmed by the material evidence found at the place where the weapon was hidden. Also, this crime was admitted by the criminal who claimed that his motives came as a result of being affected by the deviant ideology," the spokesman added.
