Khider Bin Ayidh Al-Zahrani, assistant director for Security Affairs, said a new system helps police investigate crimes by using computers to determine if there are records of similar criminal activity. He said the system's database includes each criminal's full details including the crimes he/she committed and methods of committing them, along with all cases and criminal records registered in the Kingdom. Data is fed into a unified network of criminal investigation departments; the network is operated by the General Investigation and Criminal Research Administration in Public Security, he said.
