Two policemen were killed when Taliban attacked a highway police checkpoint in western Afghanistan, while a UN demining worker was wounded in an ambush in northern Kapisa province, officials said Sunday. The policemen were killed in Bakwa district of western Farah province on Saturday night, said Khair Mohammad Baryalai, a spokesman for provincial police chief of Farah. A United Nations mine-clearing worker was wounded during an ambush in the Kapisa province north of Kabul, the US-led coalition forces said Sunday, according to a press report.
