Six security guards and two policemen were killed when Taliban attacked a convoy, hauling supplies to foreign forces in southern Afghanistan, police said on Sunday. The attack took place in Maidan Shar district of southern Wardak province on Sunday morning, Muzafar Ali, provincial police chief told Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA). "Six security guards and two police, who were escorting the convoy were killed when Taliban fired a rocket propelled grenade from their vehicle against the convoy," Ali said. He said that four other guards were wounded in the attack, which happened on Kabul-Kandahar highway, some 30 kilometers south of Kabul.
