The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Ali Awadh Asseri has distributed checks worth 27 million Pakistani rupees among various orphanages. Speaking on the occasion, he said he was extremely pleased and honored to participate in this humanitarian work, which is reflective of the real picture of Saudi Arabia -- the Kingdom of humanity; a truly welfare state; whose people are extremely charitable and philanthropic. Asseri said the sagacious Saudi government has streamlined the charity work manifesting transparency. It will ensure the continuity and fairness of the charity work so that it reaches the most deserving, he said. Religious Affairs Minister Ijazul Haq said on the occasion that the Saudi government has always been extremely generous towards Pakistan. He said the Kingdom extended hefty assistance to Pakistan when earthquake struck Pakistan in October 2005. The International Islamic Relief Organization and Muslim World League organized the function.
