Pakistan plans to hold investment conferences in Jeddah and Riyadh to interact with Saudi investors. The conference will enable and apprise the investors regarding privatization and investment opportunities in Pakistan and will help in identifying areas of investment by Saudi Arabia. Pakistan's Federal Minister for Finance, Privatization and Investment Syed Naveed Qamar said this during a meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Ali Awadh Asseri, who called on him here Friday. Qamar said the leadership of both sides were getting closer and Pakistan intends to further strengthen and deepen brotherly relations by accelerating the existing economic interaction by associating Saudi investors in the country's privatization program. Asseri said the Kingdom and people of his country believe that a united, prosperous and stable Pakistan is in the interest of the region, which will be certain with the new government. He said that all efforts would be made to promote the existing links and translate them into strong economic relations to benefit the people of the both countries. “Pakistan has a promising investment environment and the Saudi investors are keen to invest in Pakistan and to broaden the existing economic interaction,” he said.
