Iran on Sunday said talks with the US on the sidelines of an upcoming security meeting in Baghdad is not on its agenda at the present, reported IRNA Talking to reporters at his weekly press conference, Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini further said, "The US has recently made proposals through different channels to negotiate with Iran on Iraq's developments, its security situation in particular. "We will examine the case," Hosseini added. As the Baghdad meeting is to discuss security issues, he noted, Iran supports any effort aimed to restore security to Iraq and strengthen its government. He stressed, "We will take part in the meeting, if we deem so." -- SPA
