Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini here Sunday stressed that suspension of enrichment is not on Iran's agenda. Hosseini made the remark while talking to reporters on nuclear talks and the possibility of Iran's acceptance of uranium enrichment suspension, according to OANA. "Suspension (of uranium enrichment) is in no way on Iran's agenda because we believe it runs counter to regulations of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). We find no logic to do so," he said. Referring to the negotiations held between Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani and the EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, Hosseini said, "Talks were held, but the point is that dual attitude cannot be adopted simultaneously. A resolution was passed (by the UN Security Council against Iran) while the issue of negotiation was also raised," the spokesman added. "Iran will hold no talks on its absolute rights. It will negotiate without any preconditions just to remove ambiguities and concerns and in order to prove that there is no diversion in it's nuclear activities," the spokesman reiterated. In order to continue talks, a serious will from the negotiating states on acceptance of Iran's inalienable rights must be witnessed by Tehran, he noted. -- SPA
