MWL CONDEMNS ISRAELI DIGGING OPERATIONS

THE SECRETARIAT GENERAL OF MAKKAH-BASED MUSLIM WORLD LEAGUE (MWL) HAS CONDEMNED THE DIGGING OPERATIONS BEING CARRIED OUT BY ISRAEL UNDER AL-AQSA MOSQUE FOR BUILDING A SYNAGOGUE IN THE VICINITY OF THE MOSQUE.
THE MWL HAS URGED THE UN TO TAKE THE APPROPRIATE MEASURES FOR THE PROTECTION OF AL-AQSA MOSQUE AND ITS ENDOWMENTS.
THE DIGGING OPERATIONS HAVE CAUSED THE ANXIETY OF THE MUSLIMS WHO PLACE A GREAT VALUE TO THE MOSQUE, SAID THE STATEMENT OF THE MWL.
THE STATEMENT NOTED THAT THE INTERNATIONAL LAW STIPULATES THE IMPORTANCE OF THE PROTECTION OF THE SANCTUARIES.
