The Secretariat General of Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned the blast incidents which took place in London on Thursday killing tens and injuring hundreds of people. A statement issued by MWL's Secretary General Dr Abdullah Al-Turki described the blast incidents as vicious acts which contradict to the teachings of Islam. On behalf of the Muslims and the Islamic organizations represented at the MWL, the MWL would like to condemn this criminal act which led to the killing of innocent civilians', said the statement. The statement confirmed the firm stand of the MWL against terrorism, and said the MWL had earlier slammed the terror acts which had taken place in Spain, the US Indonesia, Morocco, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other countries. The statement urged the international organizations, notably the UN, to undertake a joint work for combating terrorism and terrorists irrespective of their nationalities or religions. 'The heavenly religions, notably Islam, advocate peace and security', he added.
