PRINCE MOHAMMED BIN FAHD BIN ABDULAZIZ, THE GOVERNOR OF THE EASTERN REGION MADE HERE TODAY AN INSPECTION TOUR OF QATIF GOVERNORATE.
THE PRINCE WAS ACCOMPANIED BY PRINCE JELAWE BIN ABDULAZIZ BIN MUSAED, THE REGION'S VICE GOVERNOR.
IN PRINCE NAIF SPORTS CITY, A SPEECH CEREMONY WAS HELD ON THIS OCCASION.
ADDRESSING THE AUDIENCE, PRINCE MOHAMMED CONVEYED TO THEM THE GREETINGS OF THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ AND THE CROWN PRINCE, NOTING THE GREAT PROJECTS THAT SERVE THIS REGION AND ALL PARTS OF THE KINGDOM.
THE PRINCE REVIEWED THE PROJECTS AND AMOUNTS APPROVED THIS YEAR INCLUDING SR 275 MILLION FOR MUNICIPAL PROJECTS; SR 23 MILLION FOR SCHOOLS; SR 204 MILLION FOR WATER AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM; MORE THAN SR 20 MILLION FOR AGRICULTURAL PROJECTS; SR 65 MILLION FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF QATIF GENERAL HOSPITAL; SR 21 MILLION FOR SETTING UP AND EQUIPPING SIX HEALTH CENTERS; SR 5 MILLION FOR DEVELOPMENT OF QATIF HOSPITAL EMERGENCY; SR 91 MILLION FOR BUILDING AND OPERATING TECHNOLOGICAL COLLEGE; SR 60 MILLION FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF TECHNOLOGICAL HIGH INSTITUTE FOR GIRLS; SR 15,675,000 FOR REBUILDING AND EQUIPPING VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER.
HE ALSO POINTED TO ALLOCATIONS OF SR 15 MILLION FOR ROADS; SR 28 MILLION FOR AGRICULTURAL LOANS; MORE THAN SR 74 MILLION FOR SUBSIDIES FOR THE NEEDY PEOPLE; SR 27 MILLION SUBSIDIES FOR CHARITABLE SOCIETIES AND THE HANDICAPPED; AND SR 6 MILLION FOR AGRICULTURAL PROJECTS.
