Chairman of Pakistan's Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Ehsanul Haq has gone to Yemen on a four-day official visit, says an official statement. He has met Yemeni Defense Minister Major General Nassir Ahmed Ali. A red carpet reception was extended to General Haq on arrival in Saana. Maj-Gen Ahmed Ali Al Ashwal, Chief of the General Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces, received him. A ceremonial honour guard presented salute to him. Later General Haq visited the Special Forces Headquarters of the Armed Forces and the War Museum. This is the first ever visit of the highest-ranking military officer of the Pakistan armed forces to Yemen. It marks cooperation between the two armed forces and the two friendly countries.
