Pakistan will take over the chairmanship of G-77 from January 10 at a ceremony to be held at New York, said an official statement. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar has left for New York to attend the ceremony. Pakistan has been elected Chairman of the Group of 77 for 2007. The ceremony will also be attended by the Foreign Minister of South Africa, which is outgoing Chairman of G-77, besides the UN Secretary General.
