THE TWO-DAY WORKSHOP IS ORGANIZED BY THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE AND INFORMATION IN COOPERATION WITH THE UN'S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UN'S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA DR MUSTAFA BIN AL-MALEEH HIGHLIGHTED THE SIGNIFICANT ROLE THAT COULD BE PLAYED BY THE MEDIA IN REALIZING THE DEVELOPMENT GOALS, HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, COMBATING POVERTY, REALIZATION OF A COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION, ENHANCING EQUALITY BETWEEN MAN AND WOMAN, DECREASING MORTALITY AMONG CHILDREN, IMPROVEMENT OF THE HEALTH CONDITION OF MOTHERS, GUARANTEE OF SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS FOR DEVELOPMENT. HE LAUDED THE ACHIEVEMENTS ATTAINED BY SAUDI ARABIA IN THE FIELD OF DEVELOPMENT.
