IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER MANOUCHEHR MOTTAKI HAS MADE TELEPHONE CALLS TO EKMELEDDIN IHSANOGLU, THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF THE ISLAMIC CONFERENCE (OIC), AND AMR MOUSA, THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE ARAB LEAGUE. HE DISCUSSED WITH THEM THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS REGARDING PALESTINE AND THE ISRAELI CRIMES IN GAZA. IN THE TWO SEPARATE TELEPHONE CALLS, MOTTAKI UNDERSCORED THE IMPORTANCE OF EXERTING EFFORTS TO STOP THE ZIONIST CRIMES AGAINST THE UNARMED PEOPLE OF GAZA. ON THEIR PART, IHSANOGLU AND MOUSA EXPRESSED GRIEF AND SORROW OVER THE EXISTING CIRCUMSTANCES IN THE OCCUPIED TERRITORIES, AND CALLED FOR URGENT MEASURES IN THIS REGARD. THEY ALSO ASSERTED THE NEED FOR CONTINUING SUCH CONTACTS SO AS TO COORDINATE EFFORTS IN THIS CONTEXT.
