Saudi Culture and Information Minister Iyad Bin Ameen Madani expressed hope today that the meetings of the 15th session of the Ministers in-charge of Cultural affairs in Arab countries, which began this morning in Muscat, would reach an accord on issues that are included in the session's agenda led by the Information Gate and confronting the Israeli attempts to harm the Arab character of Al-Quds and register it under the Israeli heritage. After the end of the opening session of the Ministers, Madani said in a press statement that there are some attempts by the International Heritage Committee in this context and hoped that this (Muscat) conference would result into other channels pressing to prevent the Israeli attempts from achieving its desired goals. "We, in the Arab world, need more of joint cultural work. All these matters will be discussed by the conference, God willing," he added.
