Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has left for New York for a four-day visit to the United States, officials said. The Prime Minister, who is leading a 19-member delegation, was seen off at the Chaklala Airbase in Rawalpindi by Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Muhammad Ali Durrani and senior officials. Minister for Communication Shamim Siddiqui; State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Tariq Azeem; Minister of State for Finance Omar Ayub Khan and Minister of State for Commerce, Hamid Yar Hiraj are part of the Prime Minister's delegation. Aziz, who is one of three co-chairpersons of the UN Reforms Panel along with Prime Ministers of Mozambique and Norway, will present the final report of the panel to UN Secretary General in New York on November 9. Besides a number of engagements in the United States including the launching of Pakistan Tourism Year, the Prime Minister also undertake a brief visit of Canada to address the International Micro Credit Summit as a key-note speaker.
