CROWN PRINCE SULTAN BIN ABDULAZIZ, DEPUTY PREMIER, MINISTER OF DEFENSE AND AVIATION AND INSPECTOR GENERAL HAS DONATED FOR SETTING UP A PERMANENT HEADQUARTERS OF SAUDI CHARITABLE SOCIETY FOR COMBATING CANCER IN RIYADH IN AN AREA OF 850 SQUARE METERS ON THE WAY OF MAKKAH AL-MUKARRAMAH. IN A PRESS MEETING HERE TODAY, DR. ABDULLAH BIN SULAIMAN AL-AMRO, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE SOCIETY'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS EXPRESSED HIS APPRECIATION OF AND THANKS TO THE CROWN PRINCE FOR DONATION AND HIS CONTINUAL INITIATIVES FOR THE SOCIETY, STRESSING THAT THE SOCIETY RECEIVES FROM THE CROWN PRINCE ANNUAL GENEROUS SUPPORT AMOUNTING TO SR 1 MILLION. HE NOTED THAT THE CROWN PRINCE HAS FOUNDED PRINCE SULTAN BIN ABDULAZIZ CHARITABLE FOUNDATION WHICH HAS BEEN RECENTLY CATEGORIZED AS THE BEST HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION AT THE LEVEL OF ARAB AND ISLAMIC COUNTRIES BY THE INTERNATIONAL PHILANTHROPIST ORGANIZATION. DR. AL-AMRO ALSO INAUGURATED THE SOCIETY'S WEBSITE ON THE INTERNET. HE INDICATED THAT THE SOCIETY WILL SET UP A CHARTABLE ENDOWMENT IN RIYADH AT A COST OF SR 30 MILLION. ON THE OTHER HAND, DR. AL-AMRO SAID THAT AL-ABDULLATIF CHARITABLE CENTER FOR CANCER EARLY DETECTION IN RIYADH WILL BE OPENED IN NOVEMBER. HE NOTED THAT PRINCE SALMAN BIN ABDULAZIZ, THE GOVERNOR OF RIYADH REGION DIRECTED THAT THE CENTER BE NAMED AFTER DONOR BUSINESSMAN ABDULLATIF AL-ABDULLATIF WHOSE DONATION TO THE CENTER AMOUNTS TO NEARLY SR. 8 MILLION .
