Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, who is also the honorary president of the Prince Salman Society and Center for Disability Research, has announced that he will annually donate SR10 million to the society. The Crown Prince made this announcement here on Tuesday evening while patronizing the first meeting of the society's general assembly and the fourth meeting of the society's founders, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. The Crown Prince, who was accompanied by Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Riyadh Region and the society's founder, and Prince Faisal Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Secretary General of Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud Charitable Foundation, was welcomed by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region, Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the society, and Abdel-Maqsoud Khoja, a founder of the society. The Crown Prince received the society's annual report on the achievements attained in the service of the handicapped. The Crown Prince also inaugurated the website of the family village implemented by the society with the support of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). The Crown Prince expressed appreciation for the significant role being played by Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz in various domains. He underscored the importance of serving handicapped people and said Almighty Allah will reward philanthropists who spend their money for the benefit of the society. Expressing his admiration for the work being done by the society, the Crown Prince announced an annual donation of SR10 million to the society. “By such a donation, I am not looking to enhance my reputation, but am actually interested to be of service to needy and poor persons,” he said. The Crown Prince also graced the dinner party held on the occasion. He received a memorial gift which included the publications of the weekly seminar which has been held at the house of Abdel-Maqsoud Khoja for the last 27 years. On the agreements signed by the Society for the Service of the Handicapped people, Crown Prince Sultan said any service extended to the handicapped will be registered with golden letters. The function was attended by Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Prince Turki Bin Nasser Bin Abdul Aziz, a number of other princes and senior officials. __
