Oil prices rose in European trading Friday, rebounding from a midweek drop triggered by figures showing a surge in U.S. distillate supplies. Light, sweet crude for November delivery gained 32 cents to US$61.91 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, midday in Europe. The contract on Thursday rose 85 cents to settle at US$61.59 per barrel. November Brent crude on London's ICE futures exchange rose 31 cents to US$61.65 a barrel, the Associated press reported.
