Crude futures traded above US$55 a barrel Tuesday. Light, sweet crude for April delivery rose 21 cents to US$55.16 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange by midday in Europe. Heating oil prices rose less than a cent to US$1.5370 a gallon (3.8 liters). Brent crude rose 23 cents to US$53.89 on London's International Petroleum Exchange.
