THE EXECUTIVE BUREAU OF THE COUNCIL OF THE GCC HEALTH MINISTERS, REPRESENTED BY ITS DIRECTOR GENERAL DR TAWFIQ BIN AHMAD KHOJA, WILL PARTICIPATE AT THE UPCOMING MEETING OF THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION'S (WHO) EAST MEDITERRANEAN REGIONAL COMMITTEE. THE MEETING WILL BE HELD IN ESFAHAN, IRAN, ON SEPT 9-12, 2006. THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE FOUR-DAY MEETING ARE SCHEDULED TO REVIEW A NUMBER OF TOPICS INCLUDING A REPORT ON MEANS OF GETTING RID OF DISEASES LIKE TUBERCULOSIS, MEASLES, LEPROSY, AS WELL AS THE PROPOSED BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009,THE ROLE OF THE GOVERNMENTS IN THE HEALTH DEVELOPMENT, PROBLEMS CAUSED BY ALCOHOLICS, THE REGIONAL STRATEGY FOR CONFRONTING HUMAN INFLUENZA, INTEGRATION OF MEDICAL EDUCATION AND HEALTH SERVICES, MEDICAL EQUIPMENT IN THE CONTEMPORARY SYSTEMS AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS.
