THE GENERAL SECRETARIAT OF THE MAKKAH-BASED MUSLIM WORLD LEAGUE (MWL) HAS MADE ALL NECESSARY ARRANGEMENTS FOR HOLDING AN INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC CONFERENCE IN KYRGYZSTAN UNDER THE TITLE OF 'THE MUSLIMS OF CENTRAL ASIA AND THE IMPACT OF THEIR CIVILIZATION.' THE CONFERENCE WILL BE ORGANIZED UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF KYRGYZSTAN'S PRESIDENT KURMANBEK BAKIYEV ON SEPT 5-7, 2006. MWL'S SECRETARY GENERAL DR ABDULLAH AL-TURKI SAID A NUMBER OF ULEMA (MUSLIM SCHOLARS) , INTELLECTUALS AND ACADEMICIANS FROM THE REPUBLICS OF CENTRAL ASIA HAVE PREPARED WORKING PAPERS, WHICH WOULD BE PRESENTED AT THE CONFERENCE. "MOREOVER, A NUMBER OF OFFICIALS OF THE ISLAMIC ORGANIZATIONS IN THE MUSLIM WORLD HAVE PREPARED PAPERS ON THE IMPACT OF THE CIVILIZATION OF THE MUSLIMS OF CENTRAL ASIA," HE SAID. DR AL-TURKI CONFIRMED THE KEENNESS OF THE MWL ON PROMOTING COOPERATION WITH THE RELIGIOUS ADMINISTRATIONS IN THE REPUBLICS OF THE CENTRAL ASIA FOR THE SERVICE OF ISLAM AND MUSLIMS.
