Minister of Health Dr Hamad Al-Mani launched here today the biggest air carrier medical services system in the Middle East as well as the first integrated health data system for electronic archives at King Fahd Medical City. Dr Al-Mani said King Fahd Medical City will witness more achievements, adding that the Saudi officials have been extending great attention to the health sector. Executive Director of King Fahd Medical City Dr Abdullah Al-Amr said the air carrier medical services system will transport specimens, medicines and medical files automatically. He noted that the project of the new system was implemented at a total cost of SR 8.7 million within nine months. 'About 30 workshops were organized for training employees on the new system', he said, As regards the system of the electronic archives, Al-Amr said it constitutes the first integrated health data system at the Saudi hospitals. He noted that the system was implemented at a total cost of SR 14 million within four months.
